Here’s how to make copies of Nintendo Wii games from home

Obviously the Wii is such a fantastic system that offers a unique way of playing games.  It’s no surprise that many gamers want to copy Wii games to have backup discs in case the original gets damaged.

While these games are on a disc that looks just like your burnable CDs, they can’t just be copied the same way you would burn a music disc.  There’s more to it than that.  Today we’re going to tell you the basics of copying Wii games.

Your usual burning software can’t produce copies of games the same way you’d copy a music disc.  Roxio, Nero, and other popular copying programs just can’t copy these disks.  That’s because of the copy protection on the game disc that keeps your computer from being able to read the data on the game disc.

Obviously, it wasn’t long before someone came up with a workaround.  There are softwares available that can read through the copy guards that are on Wii games.

When you have this type of program on your computer, making a copy of the game is relatively easy – your computer will now be able to read the data that it coudn’t understand before.  This makes it possible to copy all games for all systems, including the PS3, Xbox 360, and of course the Nintendo Wii.

Once you have found and installed a game copying software to help you break the copyright guards, the program will copy the data on your game as an image on your hard drive.  Once you have this disk image on your hard drive, all you need to do is put a blank disc into the drive, then press a button on the program to burn the image on the disc in your computer.

The copying programs that are out there make it possible to copy Wii games just by clicking a a few buttons. Now you know how to copy Wii games.  Happy gaming!
