It is no secret that toys have been changing in the last ten years. With all of the technological advances made by toy makers and manufacturers, the word 0toy0 means something completely different than it did to the past generations. Parents will remember when toys meant things like dolls, tea sets, non battery operated cars and trucks, train sets and Lego blocks. Their children however, will remember toys like Nintendo, X Box, Guitar Hero, Robot toys and remote controlled cars, trucks and planes.
Granted, there were some technological toys on the market ten years ago, but they were nowhere near the toys of today! If the toy making trends are to continue on as they have been, I am sure that the next ten years will find us buying robots for our children that have the ability to convert into a few different types of toys.

We are now in the midst of another installment in what seems to be a never-ending cycle of console wars, one in which Sony0s Playstation 3 is pitted against Microsoft0s Xbox 360 (the Nintendo Wii is not officially part of the battle, as Nintendo themselves has stated they do not consider their console to be a 0net-gen0 machine).
In the past, consumers would often base their purchase of a new video game system on what exclusive games were available for each respective system. For instance, if you wanted to play a Final Fantasy game in the late nineties, you needed to buy an original Playstation. Those games simply weren0t available on any other home console. Ever since the Nintendo Wii video game console was introduced in the global market it has taken the world by storm. In the beginning Microsoft Xbox 360 managed to sell more units than Nintendo Wii in the month of September, Nintendo Wii soon overtook Microsoft to reach the top spot for the number of units sold.
Nintendo overtook Microsoft in October when 519,000 units of the game console were sold while Microsoft managed to sell only 366,000 units.
However in terms of revenue Microsoft has overtaken Nintendo Wii. Microsoft earned $354 million in revenue from sales of its video game console while Nintendo managed to earn $246 million for its Wii model and $116 million for its PS3 model.
